Well, it's been a couple weeks. And so far this round, we've taken all possible points but two, and that was the night the other team had to make up. :( I know we're in first by atleast 5 points with 3 more weeks left in this final round. Tonight we bowled the 2nd place team for the round, we were already ahead by 3 points, and we swept AGAIN! Last week we got a sweep, but barely, only won the third game by a few pins. Tonight I improved from a 190 to a 215, and then improved that to a 220, for a 625 series. I don't remember my games last week, I think I had a couple decent games and then my last game I completely lost focus or something. Last night I didn't bowl very consistent. Truthfully, it was quite hard to do so, as the conditions seemed really dry, especially after bowling on tournament conditions from city tournament. I started off with a 204, I finished with a 4 bagger. My second game dropped to a 165, couldn't get anything going. My last game I came back with a 198. Overall not a bad night, don't know exactly how we did point wise, since the opposing team didn't show up, I think they have two weeks to make it up.

Last couple years I've bowled with my father, and we decided to bowl doubles again. Last year, I bowled fairly well, but my dad didn't do so well. This year was a different story, with some extra action. We started with 188(Dad's) & 207(mine). Felt pretty good, we could at least do something. Our seconds games were 224 & 175, respectively. Some reason I was losing my balance or something a few frame. My last game finished with some excitement and my dad had a 215. I started with the first couple frames being strikes & then had a good looking pocket hit leave a 7 pin. Ended up not picking it up. This one single pin kept me from 300 game, 279 if I would have spared, as I punched out the last 7 frames with strikes!!!! With this accomplishment I now know, how capable I am of a 300 game and it's just a matter of time. Now on to singles where I wasn't so hot, after having to move a couple pairs, I started with a 163. My second game I got back on track, almost had another HUGE game, but couldn't keep it going in the 10th. I finished my second game with a 246. Knowing I could get a 709 with a 300, I hoped I could get back on track. Started the third game off with a couple strikes & then the third frame haunted me. After the 3rd frame, I ended up being a little off some more, only to finish with a 203. End results: Doubles:1471(2nd at time of post) Singles: 717(don't know don't care, just happy to have been soo close to a 300) All-Events: 2175(don't know)

In the second week of the third and final round, the team took another 4 points to stay hold the lead. We're now 8-0 in the round. Tonight I started off with a 190, knowing I could do much better on the conditions, I followed it up with a 240. Unfortunately my third game dropped back to a 190, still above my average of 181 so who would complain? Some times you just don't get the few breaks you got in the previous game, still a 620 scratch, let's hope a bowl something similar to this on Sunday!
